Gender Affirmation Project
The Trans-ilience Research Lab is proud to partner with Allen Neighborhood Center and the MSU Triangle Bar Association to present the Gender Affirmation Project, a program that provides financial and practical assistance to transgender and nonbinary folks in Ingham County seeking to update their legal name and/or gender marker.
Kye Campbell-Fox (he/him) is the full-time Research Assistant/Lab Manager for the Trans-ilience team. Prior to working at MSU, he worked in prevention education for intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Kye received his MA in Community-Based Education from University of Michigan - Dearborn in 2021 and his BA in Africana Studies and Gender, Sexuality, & Feminist Studies from Oberlin College in 2015. For his master’s thesis, he did original research on identity development among LGBTQ+ young adults through a strengths-based, educational lens. His research interests include intersectionality, interpersonal violence, sexual health, social change, and community development. In his free time, Kye enjoys playing and watching sports, hiking, reading, and petting dogs
